Aromatherapy for Immunity Boost

A natural, non-invasive treatment, aromatherapy has been in use for at least 6,000 years, rooted in ancient civilisations found in India, China, and Egypt.

Aromatherapy is the art and science of using essential oils extracted from plants to enhance well being. As a complementary therapy, aromatherapy is often used in conjunction with other holistic healing modalities to increase immunity, relieve stress and anxiety, improve mood and alertness, and reduce physical symptoms

Just a few oils for a start:

Clove - essential oil uses include support to healthy immune system and overall wellness*. Traditional Chinese Medicine used clove for supporting a healthy digestive system. This oil contains the naturally occurring constituent eugenol. The benefits of Clove essential oil can be attributed to its anaesthetic, antimicrobial, antifungal, antiseptic, antiviral, aphrodisiac, and stimulating properties.

Rosemary - was considered sacred by the Egyptians, Hebrews, Greeks, and Romans, and was used in the Middle Ages to ward off evil spirits and protect against the plague. Paracelsus valued rosemary oil because of its entire body-strengthening ability, such as the healing of sensitive organs like the liver and heart. In our days - it is the best oil for hair growth and brain efficiency.

Eucalyptus - helps you breathe more freely, making it an excellent essential oil to add to steam inhalations, diffusers, and humidifiers. It has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. It’s been shown useful to use for arthritis, herpes and upper respiratory conditions such as bronchitis and asthma.

Lemon - essential oil is a winner for helping to calm and detoxify your entire body, as well as relieving nausea and pain of first-trimester pregnancy. It belongs in every kitchen, just look for a food grade essential oil before using it internally.

Cinnamon = essential oil with a warm, sweet aroma, contains many compounds to influence health. These compounds have been found to reduce inflammation and act as an antimicrobial. Cinnamon essential oil can help boost brain activity and sniffing this essential oil can improve blood circulation. Research indicates that cinnamon helps regulate blood sugar levels. Cinnamon contains a little-known water-soluble polyphenol (MHCP) that supports insulin and reduces the risk of diabetes.

Or if you prefer to have the best choice, and the synergy of them all - use the original mixture of these 5 essential oils, called Thieves

Yes, it is correct - THIEVES

This blend inspired by the legend of four 15th-century French thieves who formulated a unique aromatic combination composed of 5 essential oils:

  • Clove

  • Rosemary

  • Lemon

  • Eucalyptus

  • Cinamon

and never got sick, while robbing the dead and dying from the plague. This blend is known to support the body's natural defences and it smells so good, most people like it. Its spicy and earthy aroma is refreshing and hot!

You can use essential oils in many ways to help build immunity and prevent colds and the flu. These include steam inhalation, diffusing oil throughout the room, using diluted essential oils as a spray to clean the house, in your bath water, and as part of a therapeutic massage.
