Turning Points in our life – it is serious!

Whether wanting to admit it or not, everyone wants to be valued, respected and admired by others. And not just by any others, but by those who are important to us.

Sometimes, we try not to change anything in life being afraid of losing that attention and respect that we worked so arduously to gain. However, the great paradox of life is that we are all interested in what is changing, developing, and not in what is static.

There are several stages in a person's life when he or she changes. These points of change are recurring and occur when we are about 3, 7, 13, 21, 33, 48, 66 and 85 years old. Before the age of 33, the change is not very dependent on our consciousness (there are exceptions, of course) and the movements are more related to our physiology. The structure of the brain is changing, the body is growing, the horizons are expanding, new friends and new hobbies appear, and we barely keep up with everything.

And sometimes – “My dear, here we must run as fast as we can, just to stay in place“ (Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland)

So, until thirty years old, the best thing you can do for yourself is to be in a movement, exercise, and train. It is a dynamic period that affects the further effectiveness of your bones, muscles, heart and brain. It is a period when you earn or lose your health.

33

However, the Big Change Point takes place when one reaches the age of about 33 years. Ultimately, the brain has been formed; we already have some experience, we have seen both white and black in life. The monotonous world takes over a full range of colours, and it is harder to sense the limits of good or evil, tolerance grows, and we feel as if we understood ‘something’...

This is the most critical change point in our lives when you can manage the change. When we can consciously decide what we want from our life – changes or further development of existing reality, perfection or conservation. This is the time when you have to stop and divert attention from the environment to the inside. Ask yourself these questions, ‘Where did I come from, and is this the direction I wanted? Have I lost myself on the way and do I know where I am going next?’

If we succeed and, being aware of the possibilities and significance of the change, we pause, then this 33-year period is the best, most productive and efficient time for a change. We are still young and energetic, our mind is clear, habits are not entirely rooted yet, and we still have energy and possess a sense of adventurism – to fly!

At this period, when you are over thirty, it's time to meditate. And this is especially true in the 21st century when the information supply far exceeds our reception, processing and interpretation possibilities. It's the biggest tramp in your life - you must stop, set the direction, concentrate and...

Jump! Step by step strategy not always helpful…

48

The next stage takes place at about 48 years of age. This age represents real maturity. However, at this age, many people start to feel new limitations physically; this can manifest itself as a reduction in energy levels and, most often, in strict constraints – wealth, social, perspective. We are faced with many obligations, and again we are forced to run, run, run because our physical ability usually starts to decrease while our need for financial security continues to grow and grow.

There are changes in hormonal balance, there are less happiness and moments of joy diminish, unfortunate experiences outweigh the good ones (the order of nature is structured in such a way – and its laws have not changed much in the last 50 thousand years). To survive - the bad, dangerous and unpleasant incidents remain in our memory, to avoid them in the future.

Nevertheless, this stage is still very significant; it has considerable potential for change and improvement. During this period, many seek their mission in life and think about universal human values. It is a great time when there is so much to do. It is great that in the 21st century, ‘fifty-year-olds’ are the ‘thirty-years-olds’ of the past.

Many people had referred to this period as the time when ‘Finally, my real life began.’ It is a feeling you are on the top of the mountain and can observe the big area of possibilities. Just have to choose what do You want.

This may be a new era of great joy and fantastic ideas. It is important not to be afraid to dream, to fantasise and not to be limited. And it is the best period of life to share your experience and know-how with others.

66

66 years - this is the time when you need to calmly evaluate values and move from the physical level to the mental or spiritual. At this time, monks have a tradition of temporarily separating themselves, retreating to the mountains or forests. Take time to redistribute your strength from the physical to the mental. According to Tibetan legends, some men at this age say farewell to their relatives and retreat to monasteries in the mountains, change their name, and thanks to specialised techniques, rejuvenate, start a new life.

This is a good time for those who understand and accept it. You do not have to become a monk or retreat yourself; it is just parallelism. Many world-famous writers wrote their most significant, most profound works at this stage of their lives. Most of the world's rulers, if they were not killed (dangerous profession), had achieved the greatest prosperity for their kingdoms. This is the time when true wisdom comes.

In the East, people at this age are the most respected. It is still an excellent time to change and improve, but it is getting increasingly more difficult and almost impossible if you do not start a conscious change at an earlier stage.

It's a great time to travel inside yourself through meditations, visions and various well-known, ancient techniques of spiritual development.

The turning points are like the opened gates of the universe

The turning point, whether it is in 33, 48 or 66 years, comes from our will and can sometimes be a time of opportunities or disappointments. The turning points are like the opened gates of the universe, and they allow you to take an incredible leap in time and space. But they are not opened for a long time: 2-3 years around specific points, and if we do not use it for the next opening, we can feel trapped.

At such stages of life, it is of vital importance to have a guide, who has already gone through several of their transformations, is emphatic and understandable, and who possesses experience.

The guide can be a mentor, trainer, teacher, life change specialist, psychologist or just a wise, sensitive but not very close to you person. Yes, not well known. As it is said, ‘In your village, you will not be a prophet.’ Unfortunately, we do not subconsciously block the observations and tips of people who are close to us. And relatives often, unfortunately, do not want you to change, because they are used to you and almost do not see the potential. Paradox, but it is like this.

My advice is to make changes once you have reached the age of 33. If you missed the opportunity, then before 50 at latest, because you may not want to at a later point. Life always gives us a chance to choose the angle of approach, and when the change comes, a problem or opportunity arises that enables us to see it. And it depends on us where we turn.

If during the changing point periods we will be able to jump over time and space, we will feel, at the end of life, as if we lived not only one but a few lives.

Understand me correctly – all age ranges are adequate for improvement and searching, and you do not have to wait for the time of breaking points, because nothing happens ‘overnight’; this is a process. Only historical statistics indicate that the majority at the approaching transformation point feels internal anxiety and an impulse for change. This impulse, which can be likened to a spark, such as the starter of a car engine, can lead you, but whether you continue to drive depends on the fuel (motivation), car condition (your health) and destination to which you want to go (vision or goal).

In our days, a lot of external, environmental changes happened. If 50 to 100 years ago, someone who started his career, could work in one job for the rest of his life, and live in one place throughout his entire life, in our days it would be considered as something abnormal. However, this article is not about external changes, such as changing jobs or the place one lives, but rather it is about our consciousness, our world and ourselves, our development, or at least an attempt to make our world better.

And most importantly, if you pass the ‘Turning Point’ correctly, then the friends and pals you love and appreciate will notice your progress, will truly understand your efforts, and they will be proud of being with you.

Whether wanting to admit it or not, everyone wants to be valued, respected and admired by others. And not just by any others, but by those who are important to us.
